Hi guys, thought i'd give another monthly update at where we are currently. we had a production meeting with the submitted files and how we want to get them printed. Because of the many different SKU's people with KS copies, non KS copies, dice towers, tokens, promo cards in combinations. We have to seperate the print files to better coordinate with each possible outcome. What does that mean for you? well we have unfortunately run into more delays redoing all the card files which were organized by size for printing into ones that are organized by base game , promo, or KS copies. Those have now been submitted and now the final tackle is the rulebook.
Rulebook changes
I have heard your comments and issues of the rulebook, here, on messages and BGG and appreciate you bringing these issues to light. In response I have been working on retooling the rulebook again in a different manner to help guide new players in more easily. both with a "Getting started" first game section and more details on certain cards and conditions. The original rulebook was created in Microsoft Word and was a product of its format. This rulebook is the final step in our tooling process. We have finished up our dice and insert design!
Dice and Insert designs
Here is a quick render of the idea I have for the insert. Including several organizational trays and compartments and a large cavity for packing that should house the dice towers snuggly for those that are looking into getting those. The dice we have gone a few directions with and have settled on large numbers with a border.
We have chosen 3 different pantones which have pigments similar to the cards and should hopefully help differentiate them.
The colors will be translucent of that specific pantone and the inked lines will be white which should give it a gem feel in the final product. Seeing how we are still missing a few elements the timeline they are giving of 8-10 weeks has not started so that should put us at fulfillment end of August or early September. We will post the revised rulebook for Print and play when it is finished. There's still a few surprises in store, as this is a first of this style both myself and Panda Games have endeavored we are optimistic we can make this thing special. The organization and tooling for the boxes will be key.
Back on the road in the fall
It's been a while since our trip to Edmonton and Vancouver, and we are hoping to spread out even further once the game is released to meet everyone! We are lining up 3-4 conventions but currently I am announcing that we will be at SHUX 2018 in Vancouver. October 12th- 14th! Mark it on the calendars. Or whatever digital calendar equivalent you may own! That's all for today. Until next time heroes!
