Update 31: Alternate art cards

 Downloads and more downloads

Just touching base again to let you know the rest of the digital files have gone up, I have had a flurry of emails from backers with questions and comments on the files as well as great feedback from those that had a chance to print and play already. For those that downloaded right away there was a revised download file released with included missing cards hat were not in the first released option along with missing song cards and corrected quest and attack cards, including 1 that was missing. Apologies for the erroneous upload. 

Also I have included the backer hero art files and the original low res art style for all the hero cards as a separate download available. Just match the front of those cards with the appropriate backs of that class.

For those sending emails with questions I will be away this weekend in Vancouver for there tabletop convention TCTC. Can’t wait to show it off on the road.

Production call

We had a quick conference call to go over ideas for packaging and go over the submitted files and we are trying to come up with some creative solutions for the story pack style packaging. Overall most of my “crazy” ideas can be accomplished and the delivery in June seems well within scope. The next hurdle is the dice files we will discuss that more next update!

Update 30a: Digital file issues

 Digital file download issues

It appears some people are having issues getting access to some of the digital downloads. Here is a few tips to help make sure you are all clear.

1) Go to dicebornheroes.backerkit.com log into your account, there should be an option for digital downloads in your folder.

2) Make sure you have added the digital downloads option (5$ add on) the add-on is only available to people who are pledging at level 3 or higher. Or if you just got the digital files it should be available in there already.

3) Make sure you have cleared the remaining balance on your account. If there is a balance remaining from add-ons the download will not be available.

4) If none of this solves the issue feel free to contact me and I should be able to figure it out on my end.

Also this is a reminder to clear out the remaining balance in your accounts. We are closing modifications to your order Mar 21st, other than shipping addresses which will remain available to be changed up until we start fulfillment.

Update 30: Lets get digitals!

Digital Files have been sent out!

Hey guys, it's time for our monthly update on the production. First off we are waiting to hear back from Panda Games about the submitted files for any changes that need to be made tomorrow. Once we get approval then we can start the initial prototype. If all goes well the process should take 3-4 weeks then printing takes another 5-6 weeks plus 3 weeks for shipping should put us for a June fulfillment date currently.

With over 300 cards, playmat, and extras that were added the additional workload has put us well behind schedule, but we now have a clear deadline and very little standing in the way.

Dicetowers and Tokens

The dicetower and tokens are being produced seperately than the game boxes and they are rapidly being produced and will most likely be done before the game is finished. The neon prototypes look phenomenal on the dark cards and really pop.

What's Left?

We still have to prepare a few files for the dice and the insert as well as setting up the website for the accompanying app and a lot of house cleaning. We will be heading down the Vancouver CA next weekend for TCTC tabletop convention. Hope to see you there. See you soon!

update 29: mobile update

Hey everyone here’s a quick update on the road to fill you in on the month. With Chinese New Year under way we have a few weeks before things can get up and running so there will probably be more delays. But with delays comes possibility for improvement.

Revising the acrylic tokens to better make use of the space and material we have come up with an acrylic punch board for the tokens. This will allow for a lot of benefits. Reducing miscounts, more unique shapes, protecting pieces, and providing a holder as the tokens can fit back in snuggly if desired.

Also half of the character heroes have been sent out and the rest should be coming out in a week or so. Box files and the updated rulebook are finished and the new rulebook will be available to review on BGG and will be provided with digital download packs.

For the digital download files I have all the cards separated with their appropriate fronts and backs, while this makes it easier to assemble and organize with over 300 cards it is not the best for household printers. If people would like a letter sized template for the cards or have any other preferences leave a comment below.

 Final Stretch

 Hey heroes, January has been a big month setting up visits to conventions all over and getting the files set up for printing and digital release. A couple quick updates, We have a few art pieces remaining to fill in. The map has been set up and those that backed the custom hero artwork, you guys will be receiving a digital copy of your hero soon as most of those have been completed. Remaining art for the rulebook and art prints are still in the works.

    I've started working on the new website which will be the central diceborn hub for the future. It will host photos and updates as well as have the digital music and support for those that want music and effects along with their game, it should be easy to play on any digital device.

Token files

We have submitted the files for the acrylic tokens that are starting production for those that included them as an add-on. We adjusted the tokens for to use more lines and less fill to keep wear down and make sure the tokens look good every time you play.

Conventions in Spring

We have a couple conventions lined up this spring and hopefully more news for the summer. Including our first trip out to Vancouver! Stop by and say hi, I will have some promo cards available.

*GOBfest - Edmonton AB, - April 14 - 15th

*Note: copies will not be available for sale at these events but hopefully future ones in late spring and early summer.
