It's been a hectic day, responding to e-mails and spreading the good word to everyone, the amazing thing is that we got halfway to funded in Day 1! I have a bunch of great news to share with you guys, including our first Stretch quests!

Quest 1: Recover the Bard's voice

The Bard has been unable to speak since the curse put on them, The curse can only be unlocked by "The song of 100 tweets in the sky" Can you help recover their voice and bring the bard back to singing shape!

US Shipping readjusted!

After much thought and research into options available I have created a new Backer Tier, exclusively for US Shipping for the Kickstarter copies! The shipping tier gives a fair shipping adjustment same as canadian backers, the cost difference should be easy enough to adjust back into the budget and help support all my friends south of the border. Everyone looking for shipping for a single kickstarter copy in the US you can adjust your stretch goal to the newly formed Level 2!

Diceborn Heroes is LIVE!

First off I want to thank everyone who jumped in early to get this kickstarter rolling, your support means alot and I want to make good on the promises of this campaign, there is a number of things I need to update that was pointed out so without further ado.

Local Pick-up Options

For those backers in Calgary and Edmonton there will be local pickup options available to you. Please set your shipping location to "CHRISTMAS ISLAND" and you will have the 0$ shipping option.

DiceTower and Acrylic tokens

People who pledged for acrylic token upgrades wanted more details on the tokens. The acrylic Token upgrade is going to get you the following tokens:

- 20 One/Two wound marker tokens

- 8 One/Two shield markers

- 10 Poison/Stunned condition markers

- 8 Hero token markers

That's a set of 46 Acrylic tokens roughly 20mm diameter the first printing came out looking pretty swell, the detail on them is great close up, the paint on these ones were not cleaned up but it should give you an idea for the feel we are going for. They also look fantastic on the cards, the translucent damage tokens are a big improvement.

Details on the BlackThumb Dicetower: it's a hinged portable tower made out of a light grain wood, stained and laser etched with the Diceborn Heroes logo. The final production image is not complete but here is a sample of one of the previous BlackThumb dicetowers with a different logo.

 I will post the dimensions of the tower once they are finalized!

Shipping Costs (yay math)

There is an issue with the shipping costs especially to the US, so I want to make it clear how the shipping costs were calculated and what they represent.

with an estimated 400 copies sold to reach the funding goal I used a rough break down of percentages between CA, US, EU and Others from similar canadian backers and took a total shipping cost and broke it down to the rough distribution between those backers. Estimating that 50% of sales were in canada and 30% in US and 10% and 10% in EU and the world respectively. The idea seemed logical at the time to cover the total cost of shipping unfortunately majority of shipping companies work out of the US and are used to much lower rates.

Unfortunately I can't adjust the shipping rates now while backers have pledged so it leaves me with 2 options, either restart the campaign with a different price structure or increase the value of the box to adjust for the additional cost. So because of this...

We are flying by the first 2 stretch goals!

The first 2 planned stretch goals for improved components will be automatically added to all copies of Diceborn Heroes!

There is a bunch more Kickstarter exclusive bonuses planned, including additional content that is going to make this game all that it can be.
